Tin Printing Inks EN4000

Inks for printing on sheet metal

Application

Tin printing inks of the EN4000 series are designed for printing on base-coated or bare sheet metal.

Due to there very fast drying binder components, these inks are suitable for the use on single-, two-colour and specialy on modern multi-colour printing presses with a final varnish applied wet-on-dry or wet-on-wet.

Special Properties

  • Very good printability in wet and dry offset
  • High rub and scuff resistance when dry
  • Resistance to sterilization (1h at 130°C)
  • Resistance to deep-drawing
  • Varnishable (also wet-on-wet)

Ink Profile

Recommended drying conditions: 10 minutes at 150‑175°C

Special Information

The inks are suitable for a product range from technical packaging like oil and paint containers to sterilization-proof, two-piece food packages as well as closures. They are optimised for a stable printing process on modern multi colour presses.
For special application, the inks are also available in a drying modified version, based on polyester resins or as UV-curing system.
